Friends just sent us this link to an article about Taos and Taos women in New York Social Diary!
Thanks to Roger and Ken who pointed it out to us.

The article has great photos of the Museum and these 2 that we hadn't seen before. Her youngest son Paul is buried next to Millicent looking into the Taos Mountains. The only thing we would disagree with is that Millicent's son Arturo Peralta-Ramos told us unequivocally that Millicent was not buried in a designer gown, but rather wrapped in one of the Indian blankets from her collection. We are delighted that our book is featured in a photo.

On October 19th come to the book fair hosted by Friends of D. H. Lawrence, 10 a.m.-4 p.m at the Mable Dodge Luhan House on Morada Lane. Millicent Rogers: A Life in Full will have a table. (Contact Nita at 575-758-9351 or 779-7446) if you'd like a table for your book/s)
Millicent Rogers was a mother, lover, active
in WWII espionage, designer of clothes, jewelry, and homes, friend of many
Taoseños and the Pueblo, and a most remarkable
woman of Taos.
Her life was short owing to a debilitating heart disease, yet she lived each
day to its fullest. The book is enriched
with never before seen family photographs and quotes from family and friends
that have been kept hidden until now as they were honoring Millicent’s desire for
privacy. She was followed uncompromisingly by the paparazzi of her day, and as
a result many untrue or distorted stories were printed about her and her sons.
This book offers a glimpse into the private Millicent, her thoughts, her daily
battle with pain, and her wide interest in literature, art, people from all
walks of life, and her unique loves, especially for her sons.

Millicent Rogers was heir to an outrageous fortune, and
she led an outrageous life that was larger than life, even though lived in the
shadow of death. This book offers a wonderful account of Millicent’s complex
and glamorous existence. Her world travels, adventures in high society,
philanthropy and wartime intrigues, astonishing sojourn in New Mexico, and
numerous marriages and affairs with a titillating who’s-who of prominent
international rogues reads like Don
Quixote meets Gone with the Wind. The personal stories about their unique mother
recounted by Millicent’s sons enrich the narrative immensely. Thank you, Nita
Murphy, Art Bachrach, and Judith Nasse for capturing the essence of the quirky,
beautiful, and haunting Lady.

Like many before and after her,
Millicent Rogers fell in love with Taos,
New Mexico. Quite simply, the place brought out the best
in her. After reading A Life in Full, the succinct account of

simply marvelous.
